Upcoming Training – Tulsa

The University of Tulsa will be hosting two training sessions on Saturday, June 4th from 9AM to Noon for coaches and mentors.

Event A: FLL Coach & Mentor Session – Preparing for 2016
Date:

Time: 9:00AM – Noon
Location: Keplinger Hall on the campus of Tulsa University, Room M1
Goals: This session is focused on expanding FLL / FLL Jr. in Oklahoma and is all about building the FIRST community to increase STEM opportunities in our schools and communities.
Who Should Attend: Veteran coaches/mentors who desire to help new teams (bring a new recruit with you).  Anyone interested in introducing FLL/FLL Jr. to their schools or youth organizations (church teams, girl scouts, boy scouts, home schoolers, etc. are welcome).

Event B: FLL Jr. WeDo 2.0 Coach & Mentor Training presented by LEGO Education

Location: Keplinger Hall on the campus of Tulsa University, Room M2
Goals: This session is a hands-on training opportunity for FLL Jr. Coaches & Mentors to learn about the WeDo 2.0 robotics platform.
Who Should Attend: Veteran & New coaches/mentors who plan to run a FLL Jr. team in 2017 or beyond.  There are some changes coming to FLL Jr. in the next couple of years and most of these have not yet been announced.  One known change is that the WeDo 1.0 or WeDo 2.0 platform will become a requirement for the FLL Jr. program in 2017.  Get ahead of the curve and learn about the new robotics kit now.
